Volunteer Cards
Volunteer Cards are the National Trusts way of thanking volunteers who complete more than 40 or 50 hours of work for the Trust over the course of a year. Cards are valid for a year from 1st April to 31st March. The 40-hour card entitles the volunteer to free admission to all National Trust properties, while the 50-hour card provides in addition a 20% discount in National Trust shops and restaurants/tearooms. Note that if you are already a National Trust member, you can use either type of Volunteer Card to admit a guest free of charge.
Since each of our task days represents 5 hours of work for the Trust, Volunteer Cards are issued (at the Trusts discretion) to those members who have completed at least 8 or 10 tasks over the year.
If you have attended any working weekends or contributed to other National Trust volunteer opportunities, these can be added to any work undertaken with our group to help you qualify for a Volunteer Card.
